Once Upon a Time, in 2008, two Brazilian friends who adored coffee found themselves transplanted to New York City. Homesick for the beautiful coffees they’d grown up drinking, they discovered high-quality Brazilian specialties were difficult to find.
In fact, many coffee aficionados they met weren’t even aware of the tremendous variety of flavors cultivated within Brazil’s diverse geography. Nor had they heard about the centuries-old tradition of sustainable growing and responsible stewardship embodied in Brazil’s estate-coffee culture. Something had to be done!
